“A prayer book like this is a little like scaffolding – it is a skeleton around which you can build your own prayers.” David Konstant
From David Konstant’s Preface:
This prayer book begins with a brief morning prayer. There is then a reflection on Jesus Christ: the Way, the Truth and the Life, as portrayed in the Gospels themselves, as exemplified in other passages of Scripture, and also as reflected by Christian writers.
The second principal part of the book highlights certain aspects of Jesus’s life and preaching, through scripturally based meditations on the Rosary, the Beatitudes and the Way of the Cross. There is then an invitation to look honestly at ourselves and to make an examination of conscience, perhaps as a preparation for celebrating our forgiveness by God in the Sacrament of Penance.
The prayer book concludes with a suggestion for night prayer.
