We are delighted to announce there is significant interest in our Pilgrimage to Peru and we will be moving forward with our plans to visit Peru at the end of October – staying until the 8th of November.
This Pilgrimage starts in Lima, the birthplace of St. Martin de Porres and St. Rose of Lima, both of the Dominican Order. St. Martin died here on 3 November 1639 aged just 59 and we will celebrate his Feast Day during our visit. A short flight will take us to Cuzco the former Inca capital noted for its archaeological sites and Spanish colonial architecture and from here we will take a train through The Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu – the spectacular Inca city set high in the Andes, justifiably one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we would be delighted to have you share this experience with us. The Peru Pilgrimage Tour is perfect for you if you’re looking for a short but deeply meaningful journey to explore Peru’s most sacred places, a pilgrimage to the home of our beloved Saint Martin de Porres and a celebration of the 800th Jubilee for The Dominican Order.
Take a look through our proposed itinerary which you can download here.
