Prayer for Courage in Difficulties
Dear St. Martin you have always been the friend of those in trouble or distress of any kind. At this present time I am weighed down by worries and I can see no solution. There seems to be no escape from my present misfortune. I turn to you now and ask you to intercede for me to our loving and merciful Father. If this is to be my lot please ask that I may be given the courage and strength to accept whatever God has in store for me, believing, as I do, that God can make all things work for good. I ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen
For the Sick
Dear St. Martin you were always the tireless servant of the sick. During your lifetime and from your place in Heaven God worked many miracles through your prayers. Look with compassion on (name of sick person) suffering now from sickness. Ask the Lord to touch him/her with his healing hand. Help us all to use with wisdom and with a thankful heart the health and strength God gives to us so that, following your example, our whole lives may be a song of thanksgiving and praise to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer for Peace in the Family
We turn to you St. Martin in our present difficulties. You were always a lover of the Prince of Peace and the builder of peace. We recall how you spared no effort to preserve harmony in your sister's family and among your Dominican brothers. Obtain for us that we may help one another and be ever ready to forgive as we hope to be forgiven. Ask God to give us the wisdom and generosity to make allowances for others. Help us never to say or do anything that would injure the peace of our family but to do all we can to create and preserve an atmosphere of trust, reverence and love. We ask you to present our intentions to Christ Our Lord. Amen
Prayer for Animals
Gentle St. Martin, you loved the animals God gives to us in the wonders of creation. Watch over the animals Our Loving Father has provided for our use and welfare. Intercede that all disease and harm may be averted since on them so much of our livelihood depends. Bless also our pets who give us so much joy and pleasure. Help us never to be cruel to them or neglectful of them. May we know the happiness of animals kept safe by your powerful intercession. We make this and all our prayers through Christ Our Lord. Amen

Most humble St. Martin whose burning charity embraces all but especially those who are sick, afflicted, or in need, we turn to you for help in our present difficulties and we implore you to obtain for us from God health of soul and body, and in particular the favour we now ask …
May we by imitating your charity and humility, find quiet and contentment all our days, and cheerful submission to God's holy will in all the trials and difficulties of life.

God, who exalts the humble and who caused St. Martin, your confessor, to pass to the heavenly Kingdom, grant through his merits and intercession that on earth we may so imitate his humility as to deserve to be exalted with him in heaven. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Thank You
Thank you St. Martin for the many favours I received through your prayerful intercession. Thank you for being such a friend, for always being there for me. Thank you for helping me through those times when I felt life was too difficult and that I could not cope. Thank you for strengthening my belief in God’s love for me.
Thank you Lord for giving us St. Martin. Thank you for the example of his holy life. Thank you Lord for making him such a powerful intercessor on our behalf.
